Brief Bio:

I have worked in a variety of fields, ranging from translation to sales.

Questions:

What do you consider the most important issue facing New Jersey voters, this year?

The most important issue facing New Jersey is affordability. Millions of people are struggling to make their ends meet. I support making housing more affordable by removing the impact fees (taxes) on smaller size-houses. I support changing the zoning laws to allow affordable housing, such as tiny homes and RVs, as well as the use of abandoned commercial and residential buildings to reduce homelessness. I support making healthcare more affordable by ending the certificate of need (CON) laws that increase the cost of medical services. I support gradually repealing the State Income Tax, which would save thousands of dollars for every worker, and allow for a significant reduction in property taxes, which are the highest in the nation. The State Income Tax (9 states do not have it) is to be replaced with user fees, with toll roads being the example. On top of reducing their property taxes, local governments could also use the saved money for other purposes. Finally, I support lowering the energy prices, by letting people choose their own company, just like with auto insurance.

Why are you running? And, what challenges have you faced as a candidate?

I am running to offer voters a choice that is different in policy problems that other candidates are offering. I am also running to inspire the public to adopt some of the solutions to the problems that I am offering. One of the challenges is breaking through the polarization of the political discourse.

What specific measures can you implement to increase civility, voter engagement, and community connections?

I refuse to engage in name-calling and I ask the public to look beyond partisan labels and treat policy proposals on their merits, regardless which party they are coming from. I support having regular town hall meetings with the public.

How do you see your office interacting with other levels of government to benefit your constituents?

I want the State Legislature to view policy proposals based on their merits, and not which member of the Party has proposed them. I want to work with local governments, so that we could see more affordable housing, as well as a significant reduction in property taxes (the highest in the country).

What community connections or special skills do you bring that will help your success in office?

I have built rapport with diverse groups that symbolize the strength that diversity brings to New Jersey. I care about the struggling middle class and the vulnerable members of our community, such as the homeless, and would like to see their livelihoods improved.

How do you expect to continue outreach and education of your constituents?

I plan to continue to meet and reach out to the members of the public and offer solutions to the problems that we face.
